Driving Park Library Tour

B38-Image1

Join the Technology in Architectural Practice Committee as we tour Driving Park library branch, designed by NBBJ.

Driving Park is the first newly built branch library in the Columbus Metropolitan Library’s 20/20 vision plan – their first major facilities overhaul in 25 years. Library’s, as an institution, are faced with the ever increasing challenge of maintaining relevance in a context where our time is scarce, information is everywhere, learning is ever more collaborative, and technology is constantly changing. The new 15,000 square foot design aims to address the challenge of what it means to be a library in the information age, but it is also tasked with providing a community with a much-needed catalyst for solidarity and positive change. Come learn why Driving Park Branch is a great case study to learn how libraries can be a relevant and active participant in connecting a community, inspiring innovation and disseminating knowledge.
