I Look Up Campaign

AIA National #ilookup Campaign

Near the end of 2014, the American Institute of Architects launched a three-year integrated campaign designed to re-connect the public with architecture and position new generations of architects as catalysts of growth and visionaries for renewal. The initiative, a first for AIA, cuts across all platforms - social media, digital marketing, broadcast and print advertising. Before beginning to design, architects look up. They look up to see what isn’t there and to envision the potential for what could be. Architecture surrounds us in our daily lives. Look up and be inspired.

How can you get involved?

  • Take photos of your surroundings and add the hashtag #ilookup! Tag @aiacolumbus for a chance for your photo to be featured on our home page!
  • Speak Up! - No one understands an architects role like an architect does. Be a spokesperson for your profession, speak up!
  • Share/Like - Social media is an easy way to start. Follow AIA National and AIA Columbus for updates on the campaign!

The The American Institute of Architects ‪#‎ilookup‬ campaign is "taking an important step towards greater public understanding of what we do, what our role is, and what our contributions are... We are raising awareness of architects and architecture... We are putting ourselves out there. View this as an opportunity to speak up." - Robert Ivy, FAIA
