This presentation details a series of tools in properly scheduling and staffing a project and how to tie this into a firm's overall forecasting and marketing goals. In a joint-session with the TAP Committee, the second half of the session will discuss apps and digital time tracking methods used by architects.

With over 45 years of experience in the design industry, Doug Parris was responsible for the creation, strategy, and growth of many successful new ventures at NBBJ in his 36 years with the firm in both the Columbus and Raleigh offices. These efforts include the development of new markets ,services ,studios ,and offices. He was a leader of NBBJ’s Delivery Team and Integrated Project Delivery initiatives. His expertise also encompasses project leadership, project management, and cost management on a broad range of higher education, research laboratory, and healthcare projects for such clients as The Ohio State University, University of Pittsburgh, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic, and The Department of Veterans Affairs. His leadership also includes projects in Europe. Asia and the Middle East.

Nicholas Bittner, AIA, is the Managing Principal of BDT Architects & Designers. Since taking a leadership position with the Athens, Ohio-based practice, Nicholas has spearheaded the opening of offices in Columbus and Rapid City, South Dakota. This strategic expansion was part of the firm's vision to provide Integrated Design Delivery of Architecture. Interior and Communication Design at an affordable scale. He also oversees BDT's Higher Education market which includes projects at The Ohio State University and Ohio University. His specialties include project and construction management, with an emphasis on limiting critical resources such as money and time. To that effect, Nicholas has a good experience reviewing time management programs, because time is money. He also chairs the TAP Committee of AIA Columbus.
