Construction Tour of Landmark Lofts

Join the Emerging Professionals as they tour Landmark Lofts, a new mixed-use development in Hilliard, Ohio. WRK Development LLC's $30 million-plus project is underway after years of planning. Craig W. Murdick Architect Ltd. is the project's architect and Elford Development Ltd is managing construction. Scheduled for completion by summer 2017, the project is expected to have 204 multi-family units, a 6,000 square foot clubhouse and 14,000 square feet of retail and commercial uses. 


The project is located on the corner of Franklin Street and Cemetery Road. The tour will begin at the construction trailer.

Hard hats, safety goggles, and closed toe shoes are required.

The Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute is the Midwest’s largest and most advanced sports medicine facility. It is the home of innovation and discovery in helping people improve their athletic performance, recover from injury and prevent future injuries. The 116,000 SF, state-of-the-art complex integrates research, teaching, clinical care and performance training under one roof.

Learning objectives include:

  • Issues in bringing 15 patient services and specialty groups together to work collaboratively under one roof.
  • Integration of professional practice with research in a working environment.
  • Maximizing the use of open space to allow for flexibility of use.
  • Understanding the change to an interdisciplinary approach in the way that sports medicine is now being viewed on a national level.
  • Adaptation of brand to align with both the University medical center and University Athletics program.

Meet for project overview describing primary goals, building organization, and main features to be seen.
Tour conducted in groups of approximately 10 – 15 people. The building is currently open and functional, and the later start allows the tour to take place. The tour should provide an understanding of how the building was designed and is actually being used.

 

Nationwide Children's Hospital Tour 2017

Nationwide Children’s Hospital Livingston Ambulatory Care Center

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Livingston Ambulatory Care Center provides for expected growth of ambulatory volumes in improved and accessible facilities. When open this spring, the new six story, 200,000 SF facility will house ambulatory services including Primary Care, Dental Services, Behavioral Health, Dermatology, Adolescent Medicine, Sports Rehab, the Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition and other rotating clinics. Also included are public and support spaces, an Outpatient Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Faculty Offices.

This facility anchors the west end of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital campus, and represents the beginning of a significant amount of development on the west side of Parsons Avenue. It provides a flexible/modular model for clinic and office development that supports the increasingly collaborative nature of ambulatory care.

Learning objectives include:

  • Understanding a modular approach to clinic design
  • Understanding a flexible staffing approach to a clinic design
  • Utilizing a shared waiting approach for clinic design
  • Utilizing a fire egress stair as a communicating stair
  • Designing the anchor for the development of a new campus area
