Join the AIA Columbus Technology in Architectural Practice Committee for a facility tour at Scientific Expert Analysis (SEA)!
SEA is a forensic engineering firm whose team of fire investigators, metallurgists, chemists, industrial hygienists, and engineers analyzes events like roller-coaster failures and high-rise fires to determine the root cause. (Envision a real-world “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” team crossed with the NTSB and the Consumer Product Safety Commission.)
Designed by Lupton Rausch Architecture and Interior Design, SEA’s sleek corporate campus encompasses 13 acres and 106,000 square feet of specialized laboratories for chemical and fire/explosion materials testing, bio-dynamics simulations, vehicle testing, a dedicated candle laboratory, and highly collaborative offices. This tour will showcase how visioning for the future is vital for retaining and attracting top industry talent—and how collaboration across related industries, including design, construction, commercial furniture, technical specialists, and client industry gurus, helps everyone succeed.
