Architect Member (AIA)
Individuals licensed to practice architecture in a U.S. state or territory.

Associate Member (Associate AIA)
Assoc. AIA is open to individuals who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Recent Graduate with a degree in architecture
  • Currently enrolled in the Intern Development Program (IDP) and working toward licensure
  • Currently work under the supervision of an architect or hold a degree in architecture
  • Faculty member in a university program in architecture

International Associate Member (Int'l Assoc. AIA)
Individuals who have an architecture license or equivalent from a non-U.S. licensing authority.

Emeritus Member 
Emeritus membership is open to AIA architect or associate members whose membership has been in good standing for 15 successive years and either:

  • At least 70 years of age and retired
  • Otherwise incapacitated and unable to work in the profession

ARE 4.0 Review Sessions

ARE Study Sessions 

ARE Study Sessions for 2016 have now ended. 

 


AIA Columbus is hosting ARE 4.0 Study Sessions! Join us on Saturday, September 17th for the next session, Building Design & Construction Systems, presented by Brent Foley, AIA, Principal at TRIAD Architects.

With the launch of ARE 5.0 coming this summer, ARE 4.0 exams will only be available in test centers through mid-2018, so don't wait to start testing! Once ARE 5.0 launches, you will have the choice as to whether to keep testing in ARE 4.0 or transition to ARE 5.0, HOWEVER, once you transition to ARE 5.0, you have to finish all exams in ARE 5.0.
