Diversity by Design (DxD)

Diversity by Design (DxD) is a Collective Leadership Group advocating difference towards authentic design solutions. We provide support and pipeline development to enhance diversity, equity & inclusion within the profession of architecture. This includes encouraging and celebrating the contributions of those who bring diverse experiences, views, and needs into the design process.

Golf Committee

Golf Committee

The AIA Columbus Golf Outing Committee promotes interaction between the architectural profession, allied professionals, engineers, contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers. Money raised through sponsorship of the AIA Columbus Golf Outing supports the AIA Columbus Associateship Scholarship for a full $14,000 scholarship that goes to a graduate student at The Knowlton School of Architecture each year.

The 2018 AIA Columbus Golf Outing will be on September 17, 2018 at The Club at Little Turtle.

Technology in Architectural Practice

Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP)

The AIA Technology in Architectural Practice (TAP) Committee serves as a resource for AIA members, the profession, and the public in the deployment of computer technology in the practice of architecture. TAP monitors the development of computer technology and its impact on architecture practice and the entire building life cycle, including design, construction, facility management, and retirement or reuse.

The TAP committee meets from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. throughout the year at different locations.

Emerging Professionals

Emerging Professionals (EPs)

The Emerging Professionals Committee engages associate members right out of school through architects within their first ten years of licensure through programs and activities that encourage membership, participation, and leadership in the Chapter. The Committee will provide a forum in which the specific needs of emering professionals can be discussed and addressed. The Committee will also seek young professionals in architectural firms, and distribute information to them to increase the basic understanding of AIA Columbus.

Academy of Architecture for Health

The Healthcare Knowledge Community establishes a more visible and recognized regional presence for the Academy for Architecture on Health (AAH) through the recruitment of prospective academy members and to provide educational and networking opportunities to our current members. The committee provides the chapter members with building tours, lectures, seminars and round-table discussions on healthcare related topics.
